Enlighted Selected as 2019 Sapphire Awards Finalist

February 26, 2019

After winning two awards in 2018, including our CTO and Co-Founder Tanuj Mohan taking home the ‘Illumineer of the Year” award, Enlighted is once again in the running as a finalist in the 2019 Sapphire Awards! Our 5th generation Smart Sensor was nominated in the Smart and Connected SSL Enabling Technologies category of LEDs Magazine annual awards competition. The winner will be announced at the Sapphire Awards Gala held February 28th at the Mandalay Bay Casino in Las Vegas.

Sapphire Awards finalists are selected by an independent panel of judges chosen from industry and consultancy roles and are based on a product’s unique technology, innovation, ease of use, efficiency and reliability. The LEDs Magazine Sapphire Awards program features exciting product developments across 19 technology categories that represent the entire LED and solid-state lighting (SSL) supply chain. LEDs Magazine editor Maury Wright, said, “…the finalists that we have just announced represent the most compelling innovations in the industry…”

In 2018 Enlighted also won the SSL Smart Lighting Project award. Enlighted provided upgraded LED lighting and advanced controls to seven schools in the Cheshire, CT public school system, resulting in less maintenance which meant fewer lamp changes, fewer expenditures and a reduced risk of injury to maintenance workers. The Enlighted system enabled additional security measures with its activity monitoring features and the upgrades were paid for out of future energy savings.

We are looking forward to attending the Sapphire Awards Gala. Congratulations to all the worthy nominees. See the full list of the 2019 Sapphire Awards finalists here.
