Enlighted Shortlisted for Second Annual IoT Global Award

October 4, 2019

Enlighted has received its second IoT Global Awards nomination. This year Enlighted One captured a nomination in the Research and Development or New Launch category.

The international competition, which celebrates global achievement in Internet of Things development, services, and innovations, splashed onto the competitive technology awards scene in 2018, attracting nearly 150 entrants in the first year alone. In the inaugural IoT Global Awards, Enlighted won first place in the Big Data, Cloud, and Analytics category.

Sponsored by the British firm WeKnow Media, and organised by IoT Global Network, the awards seek to “stimulate excellence in collaboration and innovation within the IoT industry,” says IoT Global’s editorial director, Jeremy Cowan. By recognizing the past year’s outstanding contributions to IoT development, the awards further IoT Global’s mission to provide what Cowan calls “the tools and information to help usher in a new age of global connectivity.” The judges shortlisted projects and organizations in 12 categories, choosing firms from Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa that they felt showcased the world’s leading IoT technology.

The shortlist includes Enlighted One, an easy-to-install, room-based lighting control system, that delivers energy savings and adaptability, while offering easy upgrades that unlock an entire ecosystem of IoT applications. Enlighted One solves a problem that was hindering IoT adoption in commercial buildings; it bridges the gap between the professionals specifying lighting and lighting controls solutions, and those who use these solutions on a daily basis.

Enlighted’s smart sensor technology is used by numerous Fortune 500 companies and installed in over 210 million square feet of office space worldwide, creating IoT infrastructures that facilities can benefit from immediately, and scale easily when they are ready.

Enlighted is recognized alongside such distinguished firms as Procter & Gamble, Liquid Telecom, and Telstra, all of which have contributed game-changing developments that take the IoT industry closer to deep global connectivity.

Other recent recognitions include the 2019 Frost and Sullivan New Product Innovation Award, a 2019 Sapphire Award, and a Product Innovation Award from Architectural Products magazine.

The IoT Global Awards finalists will be announced October 11.

This award is an inspiration to the team at Enlighted. We’ll continue to work tirelessly to maintain the reputation we’ve earned for innovation, creativity, and problem-solving in the IoT sphere.
